- CyberGuard is a free safety tool that helps you spot warning signs of scams. It is advice, not a guarantee.
- Always confirm with your bank or the official company through its official app or phone number.
- Lost money? Call 1930 or report at cybercrime.gov.in right away.
1. Agreement
These Terms apply to the CyberGuard Android app, web app, Hub website and API (the "Service"), provided by Skillizee ("we", "us"). By installing or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. What CyberGuard does
CyberGuard analyses text, links, QR codes and call transcripts for known scam patterns and gives a risk score with reasons. Optional features include Message Guard (checks new message notifications), Call Guard (listens to a call on speaker), the QR / UPI checker and Clipboard Guard. Each optional feature asks for your permission first.
3. No guarantee
- Scammers constantly change their methods. CyberGuard can miss a scam ("Looks safe" does not mean safe) or flag a genuine message.
- The Service provides general information only. It is not legal, financial or law-enforcement advice and does not replace your bank, the police or the National Cyber Crime Helpline (1930).
- You are responsible for your own decisions, payments and actions. Never share an OTP, PIN, password or CVV, whatever any app says.
4. Your responsibilities
- Be at least 13 years old (or have a parent's or guardian's permission where local law requires it).
- Use the Service lawfully. Do not use it to monitor another person's device or messages without their consent.
- Do not misuse the API: no automated abuse, attempts to overload or break the Service, or use for spamming, phishing or any other unlawful activity.
- Do not reverse engineer, resell or rebrand the Service except as allowed by law.
- The demo "scam" QR codes and the sample scam call in the Test Kit are for testing and education only. Do not use them to deceive anyone.
5. Permissions and features
Notification access, microphone and camera are used only for the features described in the Privacy Policy, and you can withdraw them at any time in your phone's settings. If you turn a permission off, the related feature stops working; the rest of the app keeps working.
6. Third-party services
Some features rely on services we do not control, such as your phone's speech-recognition service, Google ML Kit and Google Firebase. Links to helplines and government websites (for example cybercrime.gov.in and sancharsaathi.gov.in) are provided for convenience. We are not responsible for third-party content or services.
7. Intellectual property
The CyberGuard name, mascot "Shieldy", design, software and content belong to Skillizee or its licensors. You may use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes. The educational content may be shared with attribution to CyberGuard.
8. Limitation of liability
The Service is provided free of charge, "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Skillizee is not liable for any loss or damage (including financial loss caused by fraud) arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service, or from relying on its results. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
9. Changes and ending
We may update the Service or these Terms. Significant changes will be announced in the app. You can stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the app. We may suspend access to the API for misuse.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction.
